Bachelor nation, are you ready? Ready for the Bachelor tour of Iceland? In this article we will go over all the amazing places Clayton Echard and the three women still competing on the popular TV show the Bachelor went to while in Iceland. Last fall the last two episodes of season 26 were filmed in Iceland. As part of the show's program both the Bachelor and the women fighting for his love go on romantic dates. While in Iceland, Clayton took the three women all on separate dates over a three-day period. So, each woman got to spend a day with the Bachelor alone in Iceland. Being in the land of fire and ice, the Bachelor was able to take the women to incredible places. The show included some of Iceland´s greatest attractions and scenery. Impressing both the contestants and viewers at home. Fortunately, you don't have to be on the Bachelor to visit these amazing places in Iceland. You can visit all of them when you arrive in Iceland. Let´s go on the Bachelor tour of Iceland!
Date 1 – Into the volcano with Rachel
On the first date Clayton took Rachel on a helicopter ride overlooking Fargadalsfjall volcano on Reykjanes Peninsula. The volcano erupted in 2021 and the couple flew over the crater and the smoking lava fields below. Their next stop was Þríhnúkagígur. An ancient volcano in the Blue Mountains range of Iceland. There they entered the incredible magma camber inside the volcano. The unique volcanic cave is famous for both its size and various mineral deposits. Coloring the walls in blue, yellow, green and red. A truly magical place and just about half an hour drive from Reykjavik. The date ended with a dinner at Perlan. Perlan is one of Reykjavik most iconic buildings. The name Perlan means the Pearl and that is actually what it looks like. The round glass ceiling sits on top of the old water tanks of Reykjavik. Looking like a pearl wedge between the tanks. It is close to the city center and visitors can enjoy a 360 degree view over Reykjavik while dining at one of Iceland´s finest restaurant.
Date 2 – Racing though the Black sand beach with Gabby
On the second date Clayton took Gabby on a buggy tour on the black sandy beaches on the south cost of Iceland. There they cruised one black sand dunes. Racing through the sand as they explored the Icelandic wilderness. After the buggy tour the couple sat down at the restaurant Hafið Bláa. Located right on the beach close to the small town of Eyrarbakki with a fantastic view over the Atlantic Ocean. At the end of the day the couple then had an exclusive dinner at Höfði. A historical building in downtown Reykjavik. Best known for the meeting between USA president Ronald Regan President and USSR General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev in 1986.
Date 3 – Sky Lagoon treatment with Susie
On the third and final date Clayton took Susie to Sky Lagoon. Sky Lagoon is a geothermal spa located with the capital area. Sky Lagoon is Iceland's newest sensation and for a good reason. Its features are inspired by Icelandic nature and heritage. Built into the cliffs right by Sky Lagoon offers visitors to experience a unique closeness to nature. The lagoon is surrounded by sea cliffs and even has a waterfall. On the other side you can relax on the edge overlooking the bay. You can also see the presidential residence of Iceland, Bessastaðir. At Sky Lagoon, the couple went through the Sky Lagoon spa treatment. Where they enjoyed a seven-step ritual going from hot to cold in various steps. After that the couple went to a lodge at Thingvellir where the episode ended in a most dramatic way. That concludes the Bachelor tour of Iceland. It's fair to say the Bachelor gave it his best to impress. Who wouldn’t want to go on a date where you go into a volcano, or race through black sand beaches, or relax at the Sky Lagoon? It certainly impressed us and hopefully you as well.
